The seniority of this establishment, as well as the opening, in 1974, of the Alliance Française Abu Dhabi, is proof of the importance of cooperation between France and the Emirates in the cultural field, starting from the foundation of the Federation. In addition, the United Arab Emirates are a regional and global hub for cultural and tourist attractiveness, with the construction of an island of museums and the opening of the Louvre Abu Dhabi, the first universal museum in the Arab world which carries values of humanism and confidence in the future, dear to the French language.
